Welcome. I’m Beth, a Tai Chi Qigong teacher, movement instructor and experienced health and wellbeing practitioner.
My work is about helping people move well, feel more connected to themselves and discover practical ways of supporting their own wellbeing.
You don’t need to be fit, flexible or experienced. You don’t need special clothes, and you certainly don’t need to be able to touch your toes.

You simply begin where you are.
Through Tai Chi Qigong, mindful movement and self-care, I offer a gentler, more individual approach to wellbeing — with curiosity, good humour and no pressure to be anything other than yourself.

I believe enormously in continuing to learn, move, explore and remain curious about life.
I have worked in health and wellbeing for many years and have trained across Tai Chi Qigong, movement for older adults, complementary therapies, mindfulness and traditional Eastern wellbeing practices. I continue to study because I believe a good teacher should always remain a student too.
But qualifications are only part of the story.
Away from teaching, you’ll usually find me happiest in walking boots, out in nature with the dog, or at home with a pile of books and a good cup of coffee. I love learning, humour, good conversation and sharing time with family and friends. I believe wellbeing is also found in the ordinary things that make us feel good.
Life has taught me plenty too. I understand change, loss, starting again and those times when life doesn’t quite follow the plan. That experience has shaped the way I work: professionally, but always person to person.
My approach is simple:
Movement • Mindfulness • Connection
What I Offer — and Who It’s For
My work is for all ages and abilities.
Whether you are completely new to movement, already active, looking for a different way to support your wellbeing, or simply curious to try something new, you are welcome.
Everything I teach can be adapted to the individual. I work with people who want to move and feel well, as well as those living with health or mobility challenges or who may not feel comfortable in conventional exercise settings or large groups.
I offer one-to-one sessions, small classes, family sessions, workshops and programmes for charities and community organisations, both face-to-face and online.

Gentle flowing movement, breath, mindful awareness. Sessions can be practised standing or seated and are taught in small, supportive groups.
Active with Beth
Accessible movement for strength, balance, mobility and confidence seated and standing. Fun in movement.
Learn Wellbeing for Self
Bring along those creams and lotions you’ve been saving for best, the one that smells absolutely gorgeous, or simply something that makes you feel good.
Together we’ll explore simple wellbeing techniques drawn from my many years as a therapist — perhaps facial Gua Sha, reflexology, acupressure, gentle massage and other lovely ways of looking after ourselves.
No expensive products. No complicated routines. And certainly no need for an expensive spa day.
Because self-care doesn’t have to be another thing to fit into an already busy life. Ten minutes can be enough. But an hour? Why not.
Put the phone away. Make your favourite drink. Open the cream you’ve been saving.
I also offer workshops and specially designed sessions for families, carers, charities, community groups and organisations, adapting what I teach to the people in front of me.
Come as you are. Bring a sense of curiosity, a willingness to explore and, very importantly, your giggles.

This isn’t about promising miracles or quick fixes. It is about giving your body and mind the opportunity to move, settle, strengthen and reconnect.
Depending on the session and your individual needs, our work together may help you develop better balance and mobility, move with greater confidence, reduce everyday tension, experience relaxation and become more aware of your body and breath.
But there is another benefit that matters just as much: connection.
Small groups give people the opportunity to be seen and included without pressure to perform or even to talk. Sometimes simply turning up, moving together and sharing a little laughter can be surprisingly powerful.

You don’t have to know which class, session or approach is right for you.
Tell me a little about yourself, what you’re looking for, or simply ask a question.
Just start with hello, and we’ll go from there.
